Welcome to the new edition of the French May Cinema Programme, our must-see 10 films as part of the French May Arts Festival! The 2024 edition, named "Cine-Art", is for all lovers of the arts in all their forms, from painting to gastronomy, literature, photographytheatre and music. Come and rediscover the famous French artists who have shaped France's beautiful heritage through a selection of ten films.

This "Cine-Art" section has something for every taste, with a wide variety of genres from documentaries to biopics, drama to animation. In this carefully curated selection, you will find films that were nominated or rewarded at the Cannes Film Festival (Bonnard, Pierre and Marthe, The Taste of Things). The versatility of French cinema will enable you to discover Tehachapi, a poignant documentary about the street artist JR, as well as the fabulous adventures of Leonardo da Vinci (The Inventor) , perfectly suited for children.

Through the art of music, you will follow the story of Zahia Zouani through her biopic "Divertimento". This incredible woman fought hard and succeeded in creating the Divertimento symphony orchestra, one of the world's leading symphony ensembles. Zahia Zouani will be in Hong Kong for the French May Festival at the "Symphony of New Worlds".

For all to enjoy, the French May Cinema Programme offers screenings in Macao with the support of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao, and Alliance Française de Macao.
