Who are you and where are you from in France?
We are Benedetta from Italy and Romain Play from France, we live in a small village close to Paris, in the countryside, in a house close to
the forest, with a garden and two dogs and surrounded by nature, as we need this vegetable connection every day.
Where did you grow up and how does that affect your work?
Benedetta : I grew up in Livorno, in Italy, an important bastion of Italian communism, of rock and punk bands, it influences a lot my
musical culture, my state of mind and how I perform on stage.
Romain : I grew up in the same small village where we live now. In the countryside, with trees and rivers. Paris wasn't far, it was like a leading light, showing me the art and the culture and the music scene I was aiming at.
Who are your biggest artistic influences? Where do you find inspiration?
Benedetta : When I was a kid I used to listen to Pink Floyd, Supertramp, the Clash, tons of psychedelic rock, but also metal such as
Deftones, Marilyn Manson, I loved his universe, the scenography on stage, the whole show, but also to pop music with Madonna or the
Queen and then later Daft Punk, Aphew Twin, Richie Hawtin & more.
Nowadays one of my fav artists are : Planetary Assault systems, the label Planet Rhythm, Token, Freddy K for his amazing dj skills, Vril, Pariah, Blawan, Paquita Gordon, Octo Octa & Eris Drew but also Dj Masda, Craig Richards, Calibre, Dj Nobu, Donato Dozzy, Dr Rubinstein, Danielle, Jane Fitz & more.
My inspiration is all around me. The trees, the animals, the water, my friends, my dreams, other artist music, art installations and performances..
Romain : rock, funk, experimental music, UK, jazz, breakbeat and a lot of fusion music and bands. I listened to a lot of movie soundtracks, and still do.
I find my inspiration in myself, in the studio, with all my gear, I let the artistic flow and the trance take control. It's all about my emotions, nothing is planned.
What are your career goals for the next 5 years?
Since March 2023, we are also performing our "Alteration" live show, it's something very important in our career, so we want to
tour with this show, a lot. We want to release a lot of music, we love to produce classic techno and house music for the clubs, but
also other more personal projects, some ambient, slow rock songs & so on.
We'd love to be on stage, so our career is to be on stage, with as many different projects as possible.
Do you plan to perform in Asia more in the future?
We love what is happening in Asia, so many talented artists, labels and live acts, and so many beautiful and interesting festivals, so we'd
love to perform again in Asia in the future, yes :)
